Matthew -- Errors 120-126
#120
Matthew 24: (KJV)
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till
all these things be fulfilled.
False prophecy. Hope he didnt have any library books checked out.
#121
Matthew 24: (KJV)
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass
away.
Contradicted by Ecclesiastes 1:(JPS)
4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh;
and the earth abideth for ever.
along with several other verses from the Tanakh.
#122
Matthew 26: (KJV)
13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached
in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done,
be told for a memorial of her.
Looks like the name of the woman had been forgotten even before the Gospel
was written.
#123
Matthew 26: (KJV)
17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples
came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee
to eat the passover?
According to the Tanakh the eating of the Passover came before the Feast
Of Unleavened Bread. Leviticus 23:(JPS)
5 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at dusk,
is HaShem'S passover. 6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is
the feast of unleavened bread unto HaShem
So the proper response from Jesus should have been yesterday.
#124
Matthew 26: (KJV)
23 And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me
in the dish, the same shall betray me.
According to the Mishnah, M. Pes. 10.3, there was no custom of a common
dish for dipping before 70 CE. Ooops.
#125
Matthew 26: (KJV)
45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep
on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of
man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Contradicted by Jesus prohibition against judging others:
Matthew 7:
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment
ye judge, ye shall be judged:
#126
Matthew 26: (KJV)
64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto
you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of
power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
False prophecy.
Donkey "Kong Of The Jews"
Game description:
Jesus tries to make his way up to heaven while riding a donkey while "the
Jews" from the upper levels are hurling down at him insults and garbage
which he has to dodge. Periodically "the Jews" send down Pharisees
with trick questions to try and trip Jesus up like, "how could Balaam
tie his ass to a tree and then walk for three miles?". If "the
Jews" successfully make Jesus fall than he has to go to hell and
play new contract bridge with Yma Sumac's agent against Hitler and the
Snake where he will remain until he figures out how to bid and make a
slam in hearts without having any hearts or points in his hand. Then he
repeats the drill described above. If he successfully ascends to heaven
then the player moves to the intermediate level where Jesus again starts
from the bottom and has to work his way up avoiding the same obstacles
but this time while riding two donkeys simultaneously.
