Acts -- Errors 677-683
#677
Acts 7: (KJV)
2 And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of
glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before
he dwelt in Charran,
Compare to Genesis 12: (KJV)
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country,
and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I
will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make
thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with
him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of
Haran.
Acts sez God appeared to Abraham before Haran while Genesis says God appeared
to Abraham after Haran. Lukes problem of course is language.
She didnt know Hebrew so she couldnt check the original source
and instead had to relie on errant Greek writings. So far in Acts Luke
has gotten every important historical assertion wrong. Apparently knowing
what Gods word is is more important than knowing what it means.
Can you picture learned Jews of blessed memory just sitting there listening
to error after error by Stephen without saying anything? Luukee! Ya got
sum splainin ta do!

Acts 7: (KJV)
5 And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as
to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a
possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.
According to Stephen God did not give Abraham an inheritance in Israel,
instead God gave Abraham an inheritance in Israel. And all in the same
sentence. For once I can agree with Christian commentators who say that
the verse can not mean what it says.
# 679
Acts 7: (KJV)
14 Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and
all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.
Compare to Genesis 46: (KJV)
27 And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were
two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt,
were threescore and ten.
Stephen sez there were 75 while the Tanakh says there were 70.
# 680
Acts 7: (KJV)
15 So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,
16 And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham
bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.
Compare to Genesis 50: (KJV)
7 And Joseph went up to bury his father: and with him went up
all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house, and all the elders
of the land of Egypt,
8 And all the house of Joseph, and his brethren, and his father's house:
only their little ones, and their flocks, and their herds, they left in
the land of Goshen.
9 And there went up with him both chariots and horsemen: and it was a
very great company.
10 And they came to the threshingfloor of Atad, which is beyond Jordan,
and there they mourned with a great and very sore lamentation: and he
made a mourning for his father seven days.
11 And when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning
in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians:
wherefore the name of it was called Abelmizraim, which is beyond Jordan.
12 And his sons did unto him according as he commanded them:
13 For his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in
the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field
for a possession of a buryingplace of Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre.
According to Stephen Jacob was buried at Sychem while according to Genesis
Jacob was buried at Machpelah (Hebron).
# 681
Acts 7: (KJV)
15 So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,
16 And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham
bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.
Compare to Genesis 33: (KJV)
18 And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the
land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before
the city.
19 And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at
the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for an hundred pieces
of money.
According to Stephen Abraham bought the land in question while according
to Genesis Jacob bought it. At this point the Reader may start to wonder
if Stephen knew the difference between Balaams donkey
and holy ground.

Acts 7: (KJV)
22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians,
and was mighty in words and in deeds.
The underlying Greek word for words above has a primary meaning
of speech. A majority of moderns have the words
mistranslation. Words is certainly close to speech
but here we have a deliberate mistranslation by the Christians as Exodus
is clear that Moses was not mighty in speech. Some translations go so
far as to use thought or thinking.
# 683
Acts 7: (KJV)
22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians,
and was mighty in words and in deeds.
Compare to Exodus 4: (KJV)
10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent,
neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I
am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh
the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what
thou shalt say.
13 And he said, O my LORD, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom
thou wilt send.
14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is
not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also,
behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will
be glad in his heart.
15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will
be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall
do.
16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even
he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead
of God.
We know there must be a contradiction here because the lying and cowardly
Internet apologist JP Holding says there is no contradiction here because
he says there is no contradiction here.
